Standard Gears
As the name suggests, a standard gear is a specification gear that is standardized according to a certain standard.
When the gear part of the machine you are operating suddenly fails, if the gear supplier can provide the same shape of gear in time, the operator can immediately replace it and restore the machine to normal operation. In addition, when the designer is designing the machine, he can refer to the standard gear specification pattern for selection. This not only allows you to select a gear that meets your design requirements, but more importantly, it eliminates the tedious procedure of gear redesign. In addition, choosing a standard gear is more effective in reducing costs at the development stage than redesigning and making a custom gear.
For your convenience, KHK offers a wide range of standard gears, including spur gears, bevel gears, helical gears, worm gears and rack and pinion gears. They can also be customized to meet a wide range of requirements, such as pitch, size, metal, plastic, accuracy (ISO, JIS, DIN, AGMA, etc.) and whether the gears are ground or heat treated.
The majority of KHK standard gears are metric gears. Metric gears are gears whose tooth pitch is calculated in units of modulus.
